I have the cards for the Ancestral Path Tarot deck but need the past life meanings and time wheel for it.? Is there anyone out there that can help me figure out 1) How to interpret past lives on this deck and 2) How to attach times with the cards (there's a booklet that explains that when you buy the deck and book set) I really really need to be able to get into as indept a reading as possible and if someone has the book is there anyway you can scan a copy of it to me - please please please - its been out of print for ages now and since i'm in a location where the postal service eats up packages I can't order it online nor is it in ANY bookstore here. :( Please help me out!
What type of tarot deck do you use/suggest? I'm looking to replace my deck. I like to own decks that are unique and that I feel a connection with rather than the traditional Rider-Waite deck. Does anyone have a favorite unique deck they'd recommend? Also, can anyone recommend a good tarot book that gives basic meanings, spreads, etc.
What are the meanings of regular playing cards when they are normal and inverted in a tarot card reading? I am trying to learn how to learn how to do tarot card readings with regular playing cards, but every website I have gone to so far have not said what the inverted meanings of all the cards are. I know it would be a lot easier to just go out and buy a regular deck of tarot cards, but my parents refuse to allow me to get them. Help please?
Whats a good site that gives indepth meanings to using tarot cards, with ordinary playing cards? I already have a tarot deck, and book, but would like to expand my knowledge by understanding the utilization of ordinary playing cards.
Tarot card meanings, I asked a question with the good deck of cards (Archangel) and the question was? 'Will I find love, now before I asked this question to an evil deck, without knowing it's negative outcomes. Anyways the outcome I receive with the good deck was The 'Courage' card, then the' Patience' card with the outcome 'Victory'. But I was unsure so I asked this question a couple more times, and the cards seemed confusing, why was this? Was my first reading accurate? I just wantedto be sure, ifthe victory one was accurate, I was already pleased with the outcome. I just wanted to be sure!
Tarot deck question? Is this tarot deck a good one? http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/jonathan-dee/ And, if I have 2 books of tarot card meanings, which one do I go with? Or are both equally accruate?
How to make a tarot deck anyone ? I am rally wondering how to make one :):) Do they have to have pictures or just the words ? I now there are 78 but do not now their names and meanings :)
Can someone please intepret these tarot meanings for me? So for fun I bought a tarot deck. I read the instructions - and basically laid out one of the simple spreads, like this (and y es I did thoroughly shuffle the deck so its really weird) x x x (three cards) x x x (three cards) x x x (three cards) x (outcome card) So here's what I got...no LIE: The Empress|The High Priestess|the Magician (first row) The Fool| Page of Pentacles| Queen of Cups| The Knight of Cups|The page of Cups| Ten of Cups Determining Card: Temperance A lot of this deals with childbirth, I know. I just think I'm a bit out of my depth and was wondering if someone could interpret these for me. Once again I want to reiterate, I shuffled the deck for at least ten mins so this is weirrd what I got. Can anyone help?
Question about the meanings of Tarot Cards...? My little booklet that came with my Tarot Cards (Rider deck) I noticed has different meanings for each of the cards than other things I read about them online. In fact, sometimes websites say different things. Does anyone know of the true meaning of each card, somewhere on an accurate website? Why are they all different? Can I use my deck of cards and go by the meanings of what it says on a site?
What is the name of my tarot card deck? Hey! My grandmother just got this tarot card deck without an instruction book, and though I've searched the Internets, I can't for the life of me find the name of the deck let alone instructions and card meanings. The deck is 36-cards total consisting of 4 suits: spade, heart, acorn looking thingy, and circle looking thingy. The numbers go from 6-10, and then there's a 0, U, A, and K card with pictures. All the cards have mirror images of what's on the card. For example, the acorn thingy K card has a picture of a king and acorn thingy on both sides (so if you flipped it upside down it would look identical). Same thing with the 7, 10, A etcetc. If anyone knows what the name of the deck is or has any information about the card meanings or anything like that at all, please let me know! Thanks!
What kind of tarot deck to get? i visitied a local occult store and they had at least 50 different kinds of decks. do they have different cards or different meanings? or do the back sides of the cards just look different?
How do you shuffle a tarot deck? Well, I recently bought a tarot deck and one of my friends told me that the way it's facing means two meanings. So how do I shuffle the deck correctly? I would also love if you guys could post links to sites that explain tarot in depth. :) 10pts goes to best answer. Wow, I wish religious extremists wouldn't answer this question and tell me what I'm doing is a mortal sin...I think I can determine what is bad and good for myself, thank you sir.
Have you ever made your own tarot deck? I am really considering this because I have a deck and it seems that every deck that you buy has slightly diffrent meanings and I like the meanings with the deck that I have but I am ready for a new one. I have a hard time buying decks because they are all so different it just depends on who created it. ANYWAY I was just wondering if anyone has made their own? How long did you spend on them I think it will take me 4-5 days per card with a 78 card deck. Did you use color? I want to do them black and white with VERY little color if any. What helped you decide what to put on them? I want to do them in a way that if you just look at them you can see the story in them and understand them with out flipping through a book that way I can share this deck and not let anyone else touch my other deck I am a little funny about that. What material did you do them on and what did you use? Paint and thick paper? I thought about lamanating them to...any suggestions?
I just found my old deck of tarot cards, help with suits? I have the Fairy Tarot Deck by Lo Scarabeo ... The suits are Acorns, Hearts, Leaves and Bells... What would they be in a normal deck? Like which symbol would be the sword, which would be the cups etc... Where could I get a copy of the instruction booklet? Or can I just go by the meanings of the numbers and suits of a regular deck when reading this one? Also, I need a good site for learning all about tarot. Thanks :) Damn, I'm in the wrong section. Jared, I'm better at telling the future then at gambling. BOOYAH. (P.S. I didn't give you the thumbs down.) Deal, 4,14,17,27,32,34. How many people will actually play these numbers? Only time will tell. GAHAHA. I am a beginner. I am going to use a standard guide, but I just needed to double-check the suits, as I don't want to learn them wrong. Arizona wins :) Thanks dear!
Should I think about buying a new Tarot deck because my current one doesn't feel right? I am only a beginner and am still looking up the meaning of cards during readings. It's going fine except that some cards don't really seem to fit appropriately in the spread when I look at their definition. I also don't seem to really 'connect' with the cards and am currently trying to get them used to me by sleeping with them under my pillow as I've heard that can help. I have also heard it's important to like the art on the cards as this helps memorise their meanings. I sort of like the art but I would like other styles better. It's a Rider-Waite deck if that helps. Should I get another Tarot deck? Is it possible that this is the right deck and it will just take time? Is the fact that this may not be the deck I connect with the reason the readings may be difficult to interpret?
What are the best tarot cards to represent internal conflict? Ok so i should know this cause i have like 3 decks of tarot cards but im working on a humanities project and i need a picture of internal conflict and i figured that tarot cards would have some of that. But obviously im not that good with the meanings of tarot so if anyone can help me out that would be great ^_^
Do you like the Fantastical Tarot deck by Nathalie Hertz? Do you think the artwork represents the card meanings well? And do you think this is an overall good deck?
Meanings of certain major arcana cards in the tarot? got my first deck when i was 11. been reading for about 12 years now. still there are certain cards in the deck ,whose meanings still alude me. Mainly the Hanged Man,and the Hermit. Anybody out there that reads, whats your take on the meanings of these cards?
Is there a difference between Tarot cards and Fortune cards? I was considering buying a deck until I noticed that they used two different words. I didn't know if they both met the same thing, or held different meanings. The Tarot deck held 78 cards while the Fortune deck only held 48. Any help would be appreciated. The two decks I am looking at are both designed by Joseph Vargo 1) Gothic Tarot Deck 2) Madame Endora's Fortune Cards Yes, I looked at the reviews for both decks. They both seem to have gotten high ratings, but the Gothic Tarot deck apparently is a little more flimsy, and more prone to scratches appearing. However, they still both have received high ratings.
Tarot spread.. on my wall. possible meanings? i got my favorite deck of tarot cards, The Gothic Tarot, as a Sophomore in Highschool. This is the one im refering to if it matters. when i first moved into my dorm room at the beginning of last semester (now a sophomore in college) I shufflled my tarot cards and then hung the first nine up on my wall. i did it because i used them quite a bit in highschool and in a strange way, i am attached to them and wanted to be able to see them on a daily basis. i didn't think about meanings when i put them up. in a large V shape above my bed there was: 1. The Wheel of Fortune 2. Knight of Cups 3. 10 of Cups 4. King of Penticles 5. The Devil 6. Knight of Swords On the opposit side of the room there was: 1. The Fool 2. Knight of Wands 3. The Chariot do you think the card selection says anything important or if it was just random, since i put little thought into what they were at the time, almost 7 months ago? Also, any objections to re-shuffeling and putting up new ones?
How do I find the meaning of Tarot Cards? i have a deck of Tarot Cards and know how to do them, but i don't have a book on their meanings. like you know, 'seven of swords' i just want to do a standard diamond set up (past, present, future, advice) and tell what they mean. Is there a website that will give me the meanings?
Can you mix Tarot with Cartomancy? I found this "7 Up" method in which you use all the cards in a regular card playing deck that are 7 and up, well, I didn't have a deck of reg. cards so I used my tarot cards. Is that a good idea to enhance the overall reading (mixing the Tarot card meanings with the cartomancy meanings) or should you use only one definition per method? Anybody here experienced in cartomancy?
How Do You Shuffle Tarot Cards? I have a deck of tarot cards, and I want to try using reverse meanings now, but how do I shuffle it so that my deck is a mixture of both upright and reversed cards? I heard that every once in a while, in order to 'cleanse' your carfds, you're supposed to turn al of them upright while going through your deck.
Can the meaning of a tarot card change with a deck? I have recently begun to experiment with the tarot cards, and my curiosity brought me to purchase my own deck, the Thoth, or Crowley Deck, as it's better known. I've realized that although many of the appear to convey the same meaning that the books I've read deciphering each card, some of them really don't seem to fit with the conventional description, such as the Seven of Disks (Pentacles), usually symbolizing success within reach and accomplished goals, is labeled as "failure" and marked with a dark, gloomy picture in this deck. There are other examples as well, such as the Four of Disks (Pentacles), Four of Cups, Six of Cups, Seven of Wands, Ten of Wands, the list could continue. Though, many of the cards do convey similar meanings to the general interpretation. My question is simply whether tarot card interpretations are across the board, or if each individual deck brings with it a different possible meaning for every card. (Please, only serious answers. I respect the fact that you may not believe in tarot, but there's no need to mock those that do. Thank you.)
What are the total number of combinations possible for a deck of tarot? For you maths wizzes: 78 Tarot Cards, with each card having at least 3 general meanings (upright, reversed, and abstract). In addition, each card can appear in any position of a spread: let's assume there are 4 spreads, with the following number of positions available - Horseshoe (7 positions); Tree of Life (10); Romany (21); Horoscope (12) - totalling 50 positions. So, to summarize: 78 cards, each with 3 meanings, in any of 50 positions from 4 spreads. Now, I know this will be a very, very large number, but what is it and how do you work it out?
What does inverted mean? (TAROT)? I have an tarot deck.. in the instructional booklet it gives you meanings of each card and you have a choice between regular and inverted... what does inverted mean? upside down? I shuffle them every which way so they sometimes show up upside down. Is that ok? am I supposed to shuffle them upright? :/ thanks
I have been reading the tarot professionally for over 12 years. What is the best deck for your readings? While I read from 7 different decks, I find that the Cosmic is the one that speaks to me the most, especially regarding people and relationships. I also read from the Rider Waite, the Crowley Deck and the Spirit of the Tarot, among others. Any other input would be greatly appreciated. Also, I do not read reversed, but know all the positive and negative meanings of each cards. Other words and meanings come out of the cards to me in an intuitive manner. I couple my ability to read the cards with my intuitive/psychic instincts.
I need the meanings to these tarot cards? I did a online tarot card reading but before they reveal what the cards mean, they want you to pay and since I dont want to pay, I would really like if someone could tell me what the cards mean. I know the deck they used was The Goddess deck. It was a relationship reading for my self and my husband and these are the catergories and where the cards i picked were placed. Thanks for any help you can give me. love situation - "The Star" danelle's issues - "Knight of Swords" robert's issues - "Ten of Wands" challenges & opportunties - "Knight of Cups" danelle's advice - "Queen of Coins" robert's advice - "Five of Cups" possible outcome - "Page of Wands"
The lovers card in tarot - confusing? I get confused alot with tarot meanings. I used to think the lovers card was the best card in the deck, but it does represent choices. What does the 'Lovers' card actually refer to? I know it corresponds to gemini.. basically I think it's a confusing card. I've never really understood the symbolism. Does it mean positive or negative - that's all I want to know. Any experts please share your insights, thank you!
How to read Druidcraft Tarot? Here's the thing. I recently acquired a deck of Druidcraft Tarot Cards but I don't know how to use them. The companion book that came with it didn't explain the spreads or the step by step process in order to make a proper reading. All the book had was introduction, meanings of the cards, and explanation of the major and the minor arcanas. I want to know how to ask yes or no questions and how to allow the Tarot to guide me but I don't know any spread at all. Please help? a step by step process would be nice.
Basic Tarot Card Readings? I just bought a Waite Tarot Deck and Book but I am still confused about how to do a basic reading, and what the meanings are for the basic reading. How many cards do I actually use, and where can I find the meanings of the cards I am using? Does anyone have an idea of a website that will show me this information for free?
tarot readers.....? has anyone had much experience using the Gothic tarot deck by Joe Vargas? I am breaking one in and thought it would be hard to deal with because some of the images don't corrospond to the Rider deck but surprisingly it has proven to be easy to transfer the meanings. What are your experiences? Conny dear if I had wanted opinions on whether or not Tarot was real I would have asked that. I am not talking to you about that. I happen to believe in them and you are disrespecting my personal beliefs not to mention some of my religious views on the subject. Are you religious hon? If so then I would think that perhaps you would be more careful about disrespecting others in that area. But if you are one of the arrogant ones I suppose you just don't care.... PLease go back to where ever you came from and leave us who are peacefully believing what we do, alone.....It would be greatly appreciated!!!! Ahh... Wizard... I see that you are possessed by the sarcasm demon as well....but not the wisdom demon....Hummm.... that is strange. Beware of assumtions my ghost busting friend...they tend to make one's life unpredictable at best...
Beginner Tarot Questions? I read that you can interpret tarot cards making them all right-side up or giving meanings to reverse cards as well. I'm just a beginner and it seems it's best for beginners to interpret all cards right-side up, but from my experience having a tarot reading before, the Star card was in the reverse position which accurately described what I felt at the time (I was uninspired). My friend who was doing the reading made an accurate interpretation as well. That is why I'm wondering if it really matters if I do readings of reversed cards or not? Another question, do you think the Robin Wood Tarot Deck is good for a beginner? What other decks are good? (Aside from the Rider-Waite). If you have any good links to anything related to the Tarot, please share! Thanks :D
I wanna learn Tarot Reading? I got a Tarot Deck, there are some instructions but I don't understand much... Like the meanings of each card, but I don't know how to interpret it with each situation. For example, I was trying to make a reading about the man that I love, I couldn't understand how to give a direct explanation. Can anyone give me a site that can actually teach you? I am so confused. P.S Thank you! What is your email?
Can a Tarot diary help me learn Tarot? I recently purchased a "Learn Tarot Easy" set which contained the Gilded Tarot deck by Ciro Marchetti and an Easy Tarot Handbook by Josephine Ellershaw. I absolutely love the deck, the art is WONDERFUL! Anyway, the Handbook recommends that I start a Tarot diary with a page for each card including its meaning, any past experiences I can relate to it and others' experiences that can relate to it. This seems like a lot of work to me. I couldn't find a 96 page spiral bound lined paper notebook for it (as the guide recommended) and so I decided to just read the meaning for the cards in the guidebook over and over again until it sunk in. This seems like a very tedious way of doing it and I'm growing sick of reading it with nothing sinking in. I sort of suspected that it wouldn't pay off when I decided to learn them this way. The guide says I'm not learning because reading the meanings alone will only allow me to retain 10% of the information. However, if I write the meanings down and say them aloud then I'll retain 90%. Can a Tarot diary really help? Should I start one? (I do have a suitable notebook now.) NOTE: No answers from Evangelical Christians who say I'm worshipping Satan and will burn forever in Hell for playing with his evil tools or that Jesus is the only one who gives answers...
tarot readings for free but people can leave tips? does this seem like a good idea? ok i am 12 years old and ive had a tarot deck for over 2 years. im still trying to remember all the meanings but thats because i havent had the time to memrize them. i want to go to this phsycic festival with one of the owners of a shop at the renasaunse festival and do free readings but people can leave tips if they want to. im trying to raise 300 dollars for a new laptop (or more). does that sound sensible to you. i know my age would kinda make it sound silly but i maen would you want to have a tarot reading from a 12 year old? it would be pretty amazing if they got it exactally correct!
Tarot: Would someone interpret my 3 card spread? I recently purchased a rider tarot deck and i've been wanting to learn how to read the tarot. I did a 3 card spread for past, present, future. My question was in relation to what the near future outlook in my love life will be. And i got the following cards: Hierophant (past, reversed), Knight of swords (present), and Ten of pentacles (future, Reversed). I'm not sure if this spread was the most appropriate but I am barely learning how to. Also, is it important to pay attention to reversed meanings? Or can i just flip em over and interpret the normal meaning? Thanks for any feedback :)
How can I remember what my Tarot cards mean? Recently I was digging through some of my old stuff, and out of no where popped my old Tarot deck. So I thought I might start practicing again (when I first got them I gave up because I could never remember the meanings of the spreads or the cards.) Ive got some of the spreads memorized,so does anybody know a way to help me remember what each individual card means? I can still give myself readings, It just means I have to constantly consult the "all-knowing" book that came with the deck. Thanks -Kinoth
How long did it take before you learned to read your Tarot Cards? I just got a Tarot deck and book... I'm extremely spiritual, I'm an Indigo, and I'm Intuitive, and I figured this next step into Tarot Reading would be a great choice for me. I'm only on step 4 out of 22 steps on my book. I've been DYING to touch the cards and skip to the part in my book where it gives the meanings... and just start doing a spread for myself... BUT I know this will not benefit me in the long run, for I am a serious "student" to this and want to be the best of my ability :) So how long before you were able to do your first reading on yourself? And how long before you became really good at it to the point where you could do readings for other people, and how good was your accuracy? Thanks! The book that came with my Tarot Cards is : "Easy Tarot Handbook" by Josiephine Ellershaw.
Is there anyone in here who is a medium or who actually reads tarot cards?? I know I'm going to get a lot of abuse for this question from non-believers!! lol I have a basic, beginner's tarot deck (don't worry, I haven't got it to just 'play' with it or anything) - I am a sensitive and can sometimes read them for other people. However, like others I know, I cannot read for myself!! I'm confused about a situation I am in at the moment and was wondering if someone could help me? I thought I would ask a question last night and pick out a card. Before I shuffled and really concentrated on my question, I picked up the first card. Then I shuffled for about 5 minutes while I thought of a question. Just before I stopped to pick one, one fell out - it was the exact same card I had picked before, so I knew this was my card. I've been looking at meanings ever since and am feeling a little confused. If you can help me, please email me. I'll tell you the card and question (if you need to know it). Please help me! Please only genuine people email me - and please don't give me pasted answers from websites - I would like to hear your personal opinion and feelings on the card and what it means to my personal situation. Thank you to everyone who replies.
How do I perform a tarot reading with playing cards? I already know the meanings of each card, but how do i perform it like the way in "Blue is for Nightmares" as in the girl splits the deck into 3 piles, then takes 7 cards from each.....can anyone tell me how to do it that way?
Pagans, Wiccans and occultists...Go pick a tarot card and? tell me what the card is and what deck and the keywords pertaining to the meaning..and we can check back in our daily cycle to see if the meanings were accurate for the day. What do your cards say??????? Now come back later and let us know if it applied to your day..hit your edit button
What is the Church's stand when it comes to Tarot Cards? You see, I am a Christian. I know that it is against the religion to do Tarot Cards. But I recently bought 2 Tarot decks because I want to learn to read the cards and read for me and my friends. All I want to know is why is the church against Tarot Cards? Is it really that bad to use your imagination/intuition to explain the meanings and symbols printed on cardboard? If that is bad, then wouldn't art lovers who explain the meaning of abstract paintings be doing almost the same thing as what tarot readers do? What is your stand about this? If you are a priest or a very religious person, I would love to hear from you. Just post your answers here.. =)
What is the Shadow Tarot? I have been researching tarot cards along with their meanings and came across mentions of shadow cards and decks. Shadow cards are mention along with personality and soul cards that are found by adding together of birth dates. Anyone have more information and formula about these? And also mention of entire shadow deck about dark side of consciousness; anyone heard about these and if so what are they?
The Tarot is confusing the hell out of me.? I purchased a deck of Tarot cards. This particular deck is of a Celtic theme. But the instructions are very unclear, so I'm wondering, do you have to abide by a deck's theme for it to work properly? In each deck that I know of, you get four suits (wands, swords, cups, coins) and a Fool, Magician, High Priestess, Empress, Emperor, Hierophant, Lovers, Chariot, Strength, Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, Devil, Tower, Star, Moon, Sun, Judgement, and World cards. So if they're all the same cards, why should the meanings differ? DO they differ?
Question about Tarot? I started studying Tarot back in April. I have a deck and everything, but the meanings confuse me. How do you memorize the cards' meanings? Also, is there a right or wrong way to read them? Thanks!
Tarot readers who use many decks? I'm looking for Tarot readers who work regularly with more than one deck for deck reviews. I'm a reader and collector as well as one who wants to get Tarot cleared of all it's taboos. I believe that knowledge and understanding of the cards can help tarot's reputation. I have a format that I would like used. If you can help me out with a review- here is the format. Tarot Seeker (your nom de net) Deck Style (choose one): Marsalles - Rider-Waite - Thoth/Golden Dawn Deck:Rating: 1-10 Own Book: Y/NRating: 1-10 or N/A NOTE: This is NOT the LWB that is just a strip of paper- BUT I DO aknowledge the little deck sized books over 20 pages in a single language. How long have you been using this deck? This deck is best for: Traditional Readings- Traditional spreads and book meanings Intuitive Readings- Fully inspired by the cards and their symbols Past Life Readings- Looking at Karma brought into this lifetime OTHER???- Do you consider this deck a good deck for beginners?
Tarot Question: Ace and Three of Swords? I'm trying to teach myself tarot. I just got a deck from christmas, so I'm picking a card a day and trying to focus on the meaning. However, I'm a little confused. The first card i picked was the 3 of swords.. and today I picked the Ace (which was somewhat diliberate cause after getting the 3Swords i seperated all the suits so i could only pick from that one, as to keep on track i guess) ANYWAY, i've read the book that came with the cards and countless websites but all the of the meanings seem very vague and different than the other. Can anyone explain these 2 cards to me?? and what do the swords represent.. and is there anything else i can be doing to better understand the cards i select day to day? THANK YOU!
Need help with tarot card reading!? Okay, I am a beginner trying to learn tarot but I find it rather difficult. My mom knows how to read tarot cards but refuses to teach my so I have to teach myself. I'm using her deck which is a deck of 36 cards and they're from europe. My problem is that I don't know the meaning of the cards. I've searched the internet but it can be quite vague or just give me the meanings of a deck of 78, which is weird 'cause it has, Magician and stuff while this one just has the what it signifies. I'll list the names of all the cards just to help. Money, Loss, Sweetheart, Death, Hope, Some money, Desire, Ecclesiastic, Fortune, Letter, Journey, Gift, Sadness, Thought, Unexpected Joy, Baby, Falseness, Merriment, Widow, Constancy, Jealousy, Officer, Misfortune, Anger, Marriage, Love, Judge, Thief, Lover, Fidelity, Widower, Malady, Message, House, Visit, Enemy. Any kind of help at all would be helpful, like resources to websites or anything. I also need help with spreads.
Searching for the right Tarot Book? Hey folks, I've been browsing online lately to find a good beginner/semi-beginner Tarot Book. The thing is, I've found a lot of good ones but - none of them have reversed meanings. I have Ciro Marchetti's Tarot of Dreams (The glossy version with the CD) but I really want to find a book that I can take with me. The version they're selling right now has an actual book, but I don't wanna buy the whole set again just for the book. I've also looked online to find that specific book tailored for the deck but its nowhere to be found (Even tried Ebay X_x) I need a book that has both straight and reversed meanings for the Rider Waite style deck (and for Beginners/Semi-Beginners). Is there anyone out there that knows of one? Please Help x_X
Tarot question? I have seen a few about the tarot in here so I figured I would add it here to try to get more answers. I posted this on a forum also but I just need as many opinions as possible because its a hard decition. Also I dont need rude answers I dont have time for that if you dont like Tarot cards dont answer. I am making my own deck but I am using animals to help me remember the meanings so it is involving TONS of reasearch because I am doing a full deck not just the MA. I am first doing the Major though and I have run into some confusion! On one deck that I have which is my fav. (The Medieval Scapini Tarot) 8 is justice 11 is force On the other that I have (The Lovers Tarot) 8 is strength 11 isJustice From what I have gathered Force and Strength are pretty much the same. But I am having trouble on where to put Justice does it belong on 8 or 11 or does it even matter? I am trying to go more traditional. Where is it on your deck and what do you think? Also if you would... I am not to new to tarot cards I have had mine for about 2 years and I love them very much but I feel like making my own will help me to learn more about each card and understand them better I am looking at at least a year or two in making them. Oh for The Fool I am using Tazmanian Tiger (its extinct) so if you have any suggestions on other animals I gladly accept that too! OMG! I never thought about it that way. I have been sitting here so worried and I guess it really doesnt matter does it? lol thanks.
I just got a terrible tarot reading and I need help understanding it.? I'm in a very happy relationship with someone I trust very much. This person has never lied to me or cheated on me that I know of. But, today I had a tarot card reading done that revealed that someone very close to me would deceive me and it would be someone I would never think would hurt me. The entire tarot reading discussed issues such as deceit and betrayal but said it wouldn't be in the way that I thought it would be. I got probably some of the worst cards in the deck such as The Devil Card...The Tower Card..The Ten of Swords...a lot of cards dealing with strife and arguing. I was really worried before I had the tarot reading done that it would end up bad..just because that's my luck. So I'm wondering is it possible to imprint negative feelings on a tarot card reading? If not, how often are tarot card readings true and are their other possible meanings for some of the cards I mentioned?
How to do a tarot reading? I am just learning tarot and i want to know how to do a proper reading... Is it different for each spread or is it universal? This lilttle mini booklet that came with my deck gives me the hangall spread, its positions and their meanings and says that i must seperate the major, suit and court cards and shuffle each pile individually and place certain ones in each position. Ex: top 3 cards are major archana, 4 middle in the diamond shape are suits and the bottom 3 are courts and cannot be reversed. yet i read online and saw examples that have spreads including the hangall that use all cards without regiments in all positions and was just wondering how one does a proper reading whether you must have specific requirements for each spot, if it varies form spread to spread or if you can have the entire deck used in universal shuffle of the cards.
Whole tarot layout upside down...what do you think? Hi, PLEASE respect my wishes as your fellow Yahoo Answers user, this question IS NOT for people who attach no meaning to Tarot cards at all. To those who do: Do you attach any meaning to finding that you inverted the whole deck while shuffling and the cards in the layout, if you choose not to write it off as a simple snafu and flip the deck over, will all be inverted? I'm not talking about the meanings of the inverted cards, I'm talking about the higher spiritual significance of the entire layout being upside-down. Thanks for your ideas. FIRE 4 CHRIST: Did you not read what I said or did you not care? I just wonder. It was something I stated in my "extra detail" section. I am a Christian every bit as much as you are. If and when I feel I need your interpretation of whether or not I am doing it correctly, I promise to come and find you, in the interim, your reply was inappropriate. GEHAN, This was not a welcome answer to this question. I am surprised you wouldn't recognize that before saying it. And I haven't lately lied, stolen or killed anyone, but if I do, I know it will be because I pull out my tarot cards and read them once every six months or so. GEHAN, incidentally, I am guessing you are a Christian because Jewish people don't really post things like this, but only the Old Testament says anything about fortune telling devices. Do you keep kosher? Do you stone people who work on Sundays? You see where I'm going, I suppose? I would guess you've heard this argument previously. In any event, God bless you really. I think it's best though if you leave whether or not I'm pleasing Him a private matter between He and I. SATSUN, Yes, I do know that. It would really be best if there were a section just for alternative spirituality or whatever they might decide to call it (as long as they don't lump it into mythology, games or entertainment, that would be really discriminatory). I can't tell if it feels right. I NEVER work with upside down cards. I normally would think I just screwed up and flip everything back over but in this case, I wondered if it might have significance because of the question I asked. I wanted to know where my spiritual balance was to be found; where to find my center.

Need extra insight on tarot spread? the situation these few spreads are coming from. Ok, me and this girl were close, REALLY close, I havent been this close to a girl since. We had some problems, that shouldnt have even got in our relationships way, but she took bad advice from peers/family members and well it did get in our way so I left town, for 3 years, I feel the cards point that out to me that I left (Hangman). Now im back in town. Lets just say venus in aries has been playing its course (it caused breakups with her best friend/my old best friend (hes now a rival to me) and I caused a couple other breakups due to the same situation that happened between me and my old best friends. Venus in aries, I love it lol. Shes a pisces, im an aries it was retrograde venus in pisces and aries and we both tryed communicating with eachother during these retrograde periods. Now im no expert in astrology but I find this all freakishly wierd how astrology was so accurate. Ok with all this said now to show you guys my spreads. I am pulling these cards for myself. The very first Celtic cross spread when I got my cards 04/14/09. I asked for insight on our future relationship. 1 - Present environment and influences - Temperance (Reversed) 2 - Obstacles - The World 3 -future influences - The Emporer 4 -past influences - The Hanged Man 5 -past events - Death 6 -future influences - The Tower (Reversed) 7 - inquirers attitude - Strength 8 - house or environment effecting inquirer - Chariot (Reversed) 9 - hopes and fears - The Hermit (Reversed) 10 - outcome - The Lovers Ok now Today I did two readings, the first on was on her current emotions for me. One Card Spread : Ace of Swords (Reversed) I dont really know what to make of this one card reading? Three Card Spread - This one is on her emotions for me as well 1 - past - 7 Pentacles 2 - present - 7 Cups (Reversed) 3 - future - The Lovers I have gotten the lovers in our spreads quite a few times. It kind of repeats and I kinda like it lol. Anyways, I got it in the future once, in reverse but I did alot of readings that day and didnt let just one reading get in the way of the many lovers that appeared right side up. I can see some of the things the cards are pointing out to me,like the world for example, I did just change residences. Like some of it is accurate to what I can read, but im very new to this and lack alot of knowledge and my booklet that came with the deck gives very small meanings for each card.
